Campsite's Golden Touch!

Alyson and Kevin Cooper, managers at St Neots Camping and Caravanning Club site in Eynesbury, were celebrating last Saturday (7th August).  The fabulous floral displays around the site entrance secured the top place in St Neots in Bloom's 2016 Commercial Frontage Awards.  The judging took place on 31st July, when a team of volunteers made a tour of the main routes into St Neots, plus the town centre, to assess the frontage floral displays.

Presenting the winner's Golden certificate to Alyson and Kevin and their team, Alison Pearson from St Neots in Bloom, explained that there were four premises with equal top marks, but the Club site had been selected as winner due to the extra personal effort that Alyson and her team have put in

Alyson runs a 'Flower Fund' for campsite users to contribute to.  All donations are used to buy plants, compost and any other materials.  This year, tired planters were given a new lease of life with a lick of paint.  All were then planted up by the team and have been loving maintained by them ever since.

Vying for the number one place were The Highwayman (Eaton Socon), The Gentle Touch (Eaton Socon) and Barretts with The Priory Centre and Pig n Falcon close behind. All will receive Gold certificates.

St Neots in Bloom would like to thank all the commercial premises in St Neots which have floral displays.  They really improve the visual impact of the town. Well done everyone!
